Know your customers (KYC)

All shipments sent from or got into India need KYC records (Government perceived Identity and Address evidence) to be introduced to Customs during shipment clearance (reference: Customs Circular No. 9/2010).

Nonappearance of these records will mean clearance delay as shipments will go into Customs Bond until KYC reports are given by the transporter or agent situated in India.

The underneath table gives more data about KYC records needed for shipment customs clearance. As a transporter or representative, you can allude to the kind of record that you want to submit dependent on sort of your association – in the table beneath.
